Races start at the Lynx Exhibits, 300 W. San Antonio Street (beside the El Paso Convention Center). Expo, late registration, and packet pick-up will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, 111. W. University Ave. on Saturday, March 1st from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Pasta Dinner

The traditional carbo-loading dinner, limited to 300 people and open to friends and family, is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1st at Club 101, 3233 N. Mesa St. Tickets are $6 each. Dinner will be provided by Cappetto's Italian Restaurant.

Blessing of the Feet

Pastor C. Eddie Lee will lead the ceremony to bless the runner’s feet at Club 101 on March 1, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Lee is the Senior Pastor at Harvest Christian Center. The "Blessing of the Feet" will be the start of truly unique and annual ritual for the Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon!

We are a Boston Marathon Qualifier!

The 2nd Annual Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon and Good Time Stores Half Marathon is USATF Certified and Sanctioned and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

This year's official photographers for the 2nd Annual El Paso Marathon will be "CREATIVE IMAGES by Ron Stathis". They are located in El Paso and have been photographing the races in this area for over 20 years. They will have FOUR photographers on the course to capture your photo. Please make sure your race number shows as you run. You will need your bib number to search for your photos online. Please click here to see samples and prices. El Paso Marathon Foundation Sets Second Annual Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon, Good Time Stores Half Marathon

El Paso, Texas -- The El Paso Marathon Foundation announced plans to continue the tradition which began last year with El Paso’s first marathon.

March 2 will see nearly 1500 runners from the United States and Mexico run the Second Annual Michelob Ultra Marathon and Good Time Stores Half Marathon.

“Bigger and better! That is how we’ve planned the marathon for this year,” said Bill Barry, El Paso Marathon race director. “We were extremely pleased with the response from runners last year. We know this year it will be bigger and better.” He added, “We could not have done it without the support of our sponsors, Michelob Ultra for the full marathon and Good Time Stores for the half marathon.”

Michelob Ultra and Good Time Stores have expressed their commitment to improve the quality of life for El Pasoans by supporting activities such the marathon. Their support enables the El Paso Marathon Foundation to reach out to runners, as well as the entire community to promote health, fitness and wellbeing.

The Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon is 26.2 miles long. The Good Time Stores half marathon is 13.1 miles long. Both races will start at 7 A.M. at Lynx Exhibits, 300 W. San Antonio Street and go through Kern Place, the University of Texas at El Paso and on to the beautiful upper valley. The full marathon will then continue toward Sunland Park Casino into New Mexico then head back to El Paso through Anapra finishing at the same location as the start.

Proceeds from the marathon will support the El Paso Diabetes Association, Avance, The El Paso Police Foundation and VOLAR Center for Independent living.

Invited guests include fourteen of the world-famous Tarahumara distance runners from Mexico.
